The Cox Family Farms 

When our first son was born, we became acutely aware of everything!  We began scouring the grocery stores for organic baby food and realized as he got older, that the choices and affordability were seriously limited.  On a visit to Tony's mom out on the farm in Bracken County, we realized we had overlooked our best source of high quality food - the farm!  She complained that the stockyard was giving her pennies on the dollar for her beeves (ask Elizabeth at market for the funny story about that sometime).  Elizabeth said, "sell it to me."  So for the next several years, we sent out emails to our friends when Granny or Uncle Jeff had beef for sale.  A few years ago, we started getting emails from people we had never met as the news circulated among friends of friends.  With the death of Tony's brother, we began buying back the family farm.  Then with the birth of our third baby, we decided to try to make a go of the farm full time.  We are currently working on renting our house in the city so we can move back to the farm...life has come full circle!
